Summary

  • Current context: Lyyli has evolved from its early communication-assistant positioning into a secure communications management system for workflows, approvals, brand voice, audit trails, and route-specific Zero Data Retention AI.

Current context: this funding announcement describes Lyyli's early product stage in 2025, when the product was described as a communication assistant. Since then, Lyyli has evolved into a secure communications management system: a platform for ideas, drafts, comments, approvals, audit trails, brand voice control, and route-specific Zero Data Retention AI in one workflow.

Lyyli.ai secured significant venture capital investment to accelerate growth. Expion and the Redstone-managed South Savo Growth Fund supported the company as it automated and streamlined internal and external business communication with intelligent technology.

01From Early Communication Assistant to Communications Management System

Lyyli.ai started by helping companies automate content creation and communication work. Product development has since expanded the focus from individual content generation to full communications management: ideas, workflows, approvals, brand voice, and publishing now belong in the same system.

The AI agent learns the company's brand, values, and communication style, then produces consistent, high-quality content for all channels – from LinkedIn to internal newsletters.

The company's CEO and founder is Mikko Oksanen, while co-founder Veikko Laitinen serves as the company's CTO.

02Investor Confidence in Solving Expert Organizations' Communication Challenges

Mikko understands the communication challenges of expert organizations well, and Veikko's expertise and broad understanding of AI technologies convinced us. We have worked with Mikko for several years, and it's great that Expion's first venture capital investment goes to Lyyli.ai's development.

Sannamari Nykänen, CEO, Expion Oy

With the funding, the company will finalize its product for market readiness and begin active sales in Finland to 50-1000 person expert and project organizations, where communication challenges are greatest.

03AI Frees Communication Professionals for Creative Work

Investor support is crucial in the early stages of a startup – it brings not only capital but also experience and networks, without which progress would be significantly slower. Now we can truly demonstrate how AI can free communication professionals for creative work.

Mikko Oksanen, CEO, Lyyli AI Oy

From a technical perspective, Lyyli.ai is the perfect project for me, allowing me to combine all the areas of expertise I've gathered over the years while continuing to learn new things. The possibilities of AI in communication are vast, and our technical solution is built to scale from the ground up.

Veikko Laitinen, CTO, Lyyli AI Oy

When you see how Lyyli learns a company's communication style and starts producing genuinely high-quality content, you understand that this is technology that truly changes how work is done in teams.

04Diverse Expertise Joins the Board

With the investment, Sannamari Nykänen joins the company's board, an experienced CFO who has led several Due Diligence processes. The board now consists of Mikko Oksanen, Sannamari Nykänen, and Veikko Laitinen as Chairman.

Sanni brings financial management expertise and an external perspective to the board's work. It's nice that someone occasionally challenges our decisions a bit.

Mikko Oksanen, CEO, Lyyli AI Oy

Additionally, CPA Teemu Laitinen (founder of Kuittiniilo Oy) joins as a board advisor.

We are grateful for our investors' support and look forward to future collaboration with them. Now is the time to show how Finnish AI expertise performs in the global communication market.
