Product update: More efficient communication management with a redesigned sidebar, Slack integration and more reliable workflows

Summary
Communication management works best when the tool never gets in the way but quietly guides the team forward. During the spring and early summer, we have focused on removing everyday friction in Lyyli, improving the reliability of teamwork and introducing much-requested integrations that make collecting ideas easier.
Lyyli is not just a text generator. It is a workflow management system for communications. In this product update, we explain how the new features and usability improvements support that goal.
01Proof of Value: What do these updates mean for your team?
Fragmentation is one of the biggest drains on efficiency in communications work. When ideas live in Slack, drafts in email and approvals in separate messages, the overall picture disappears.
This update addresses those challenges in three ways:
- Less time spent collecting ideas: With the Slack integration, ideas that emerge in conversations can be captured without manual copying.
- Easier collaboration: Fixes to admin permissions and a smoother save-to-content flow ensure that teams of 5–10 people can see the current status and edit shared content without access issues.
- Better mobile workflows: The redesigned sidebar makes it easier to manage communications outside the office.
021. Smoother content management: a redesigned sidebar and more logical workflows
The most visible interface change is a complete redesign of the left sidebar. Planning sessions now have their own clear option in the project submenu, so they no longer clutter the overview. Chats can also be named more freely and clearly.
The update is especially useful on mobile. Scrolling issues in long menus have been fixed, making navigation on a phone significantly smoother.
A smarter “Save to content” flow
We have streamlined the workflow between chats and content cards:
- When you open a chat from a specific content card, the system understands the context and guides you to save new outputs directly to that same card.
- When you begin from an empty chat, the system primarily suggests creating a new content card.
- The source of an idea is now clearly visible on the content card. You can immediately see whether it came from an email brief, a Slack conversation or a manually entered thought.
032. Meeting Agent: better usability, trust and language support
Meeting Agent has received an important update that increases transparency. When Meeting Agent joins a Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom meeting based on a calendar invitation, it automatically posts a message in the meeting chat. The message tells participants that an AI assistant is present to take notes and produce a transcript. This improves the flow of information and supports the organization’s privacy practices.
We have also improved language handling:
- Language mix-ups in meeting summaries have been fixed, and the system now produces summaries reliably in the selected language.
- Approving communication ideas and turning them directly into content cards now works smoothly without technical interruptions.
043. Slack and new billing infrastructure as a foundation for growth
We have also made significant improvements behind the scenes to support wider adoption of Lyyli across organizations.
- Slack integration: Lyyli can now connect to Slack to read and write internal communications. This enables Slack-based ideation and helps prevent valuable observations from disappearing into the message stream.
- Stripe-based subscription management: The technical foundation for payments, subscriptions and usage limits has been rebuilt with Stripe, making subscription updates and management more straightforward.
- Message-level usage tracking: Organization- and user-level token and message tracking is now more precise, providing better visibility into overall usage.
054. Bug fixes: more confidence and reliability for teamwork
Software reliability is our top priority. We have resolved several technical issues that affected everyday use, especially collaboration and saving content.
Content card and content management fixes
- Admin permissions fixed: We resolved an issue where a content card created by one administrator would not open for other admins or their changes could not be saved. Collaborative editing now works without delay.
- Image downloads: AI-generated images can now be downloaded directly from a content card reliably.
- Filters: The “Only mine” filter, which occasionally caused errors in the Kanban view, has been fixed.
Inbox and email
- Email Inbox: Ideas sent by email could occasionally get stuck while processing. The issue has been fixed, and ideas now move quickly to the next stage.
- Email delivery: Domain configurations for verification messages sent to new users have been improved in collaboration with Clerk, reducing the likelihood of messages ending up in spam folders.
